| Gosh, it might depend on what your conflicts are. I've found "Getting to Yes"
(which I just loaned to my sweetie, so I don't have the author information
handy) very good at getting me out of my win/lose rut. And I picked up "Dance
of Anger" in the store once, read one paragraph about how a daughter feels when
she is angry at her mother, and put it down. It was too close to the bone.
Then there is Model Mugging, for establishing boundaries and saying no (though
a graduate could say if it was easily applicable to mother relationships).

| Nancy Friday wrote a book called "My Mother, My Self" which may
have some useful stuff in it (I haven't read it, but I've heard
some good things).

| "The Dance of Anger" by Lerner. There are several interesting
case studies involving mother/daughter interactions. It's available
in paperback.

895.5 | A very interesting book | SONATA::HARMON | | Wed Dec 13 1989 13:35 | 5 |
| I'll second the recommendation of .4 for "Dance of Anger". I have it
and it also gets into other types of interactions.

| "Making Peace With Your Parents" by Harold Bloomfield gave me a lot
of guidance with regard to coping with my problems with my folks.
