858.0. "Are any per-state activities scheduled for Sunday?" by SASE::SCHMIDT (Thinking globally, acting locally!) Fri Nov 10 1989 14:41

  For those of us who would like to be somewhere in the flesh as well
  as in the spirit or in the name, but can't make it to DC...

  Does anyone know if there are parallel demonstrations being conducted
  elsewhere in the nation on Sunday? E.g., Concord, NH or Boston, MA?

858.4Lack of communication?ASABET::K_HAMILTONKaren Hamilton - Activist!Tue Nov 14 1989 11:229
    I was rather annoyed to turn on the TV Sun. a.m. and find out there had
    been a full series of events scheduled for the entire country.
    According to CNN, they were to begin at sunrise in Maine and continue
    throughout the day and end at sundown in Calif. I was in D.C. and would
    have gone anyway because I attended the Veterans Day events Sat.

    But what about the folks who couldn't get to DC and found out an hour
    or two too late that they could have attended something closer to home.

    Karen,

    I felt the same way. I had to decide not to go at the last minute and
    would have liked to go to something local.
