I had a similar wedding, and set up the following "rule of thumb" with
family members:
"If you're within an hour's drive of our house, you're invited... if
not, you'll be with us in spirit!"

| The families are in support of the "small to do" they all agree
with our thinking that since we each had our "fancy wedding the
first time around" there is really no need to do it all over again.
We are thinking of a small service and a quiet dinner in a private
room. Nothing more. I haven't told my mom of the idea of her being
the Matron of Honor but I know she will be thrilled.
Bonnie.. I really doubt the birds will be allowed as I am not having
a home wedding and nobody else likes the birds excpet his kids.,
also we want to hear whomever is doing the service.
