The DECwomen Project - Facilitator Training

The DECwomen Project, supported by Donna Taylor, MEM Valuing
Differences Manager, is announcing a pilot program to train
women as facilitators for women's discussion groups. Once
the training is complete, participants will be expected to
co-facilitate women's discussion groups at their sites and
maintain contact with the DECwomen Project leaders and other
co-facilitators for on-going support and supervision.

At this point, the first groups will be geographically limited
to the Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire area.
Expansion of the program will be considered in the future.

The program is a selective one. If you are interested, respond
to Bobbi Fox at CADSE::FOX before October 10th. This is a HARD
deadline. In your response, please include some information
about who you are, your location, a little about yourself, and
why you would like to become a facilitator. Don't worry if
you don't have prior experience in facilitating meetings -
that's what the training will be for.

There will be a pre-training session on Wednesday afternoon,
October 18. If you are interested in being part of the pilot
program, you *are expected* to attend the pre-training session.
However, if you contact Bobbi Fox by October 10th but cannot
attend, you will not be disqualified from participation.

In addition, research is being done in the area of men's discussion
groups at Digital. If you are interested in more information
on men's discussion groups, please contact DELNI::P_LEEDBERG
and your request will be forwarded to the appropriate group.

	Thanks,

	DECwomen Project
