682.2 | Hints for using Easynet_conferences | WMOIS::B_REINKE | If you are a dreamer, come in.. | Wed Jul 05 1989 14:06 | 7 |
| When looking up a conference in Easynet_conferences please read
all the notes in the 1.* series before entering a note.
Also when looking up a specific conference do dir /title=" "
before entering a note that asks where the conference is.

HOLIDAY_TRAVEL moved to node DECENT within the past couple of
months - this is noted in EASYNET_CONFERENCES.
Re: .2
Sometimes the keyword that comes to mind isn't what is in the title
of a note in EASYNET_CONFERENCES, so I tend to go to the particular
reply to note 2 that lists all the conferences in the category I am
interested in. Scanning the list will usually show me the existence
(or non-) of a relevant conference (or three).

| Could someone familiar with the current restrictions as to
time of day when this is most acceptable (Alfred?SteveL?)
add directions as to how to print out the list of all the
available conferences?
Thankyou

The file ANCHOR""::NET$LIBRARY:EASYNOTES.LIS contains an updated (weekly or
so) list of all public/restricted conferences announced in EASYNET_CONFERENCES.
It also contains general information on notes conferences andinstructions on
how to get on the automated distribution list.

682.6 | Where to find EASYNOTES.LIS - worldwide | QUARK::LIONEL | Free advice is worth every cent | Mon Jul 10 1989 00:05 | 28 |
| EASYNOTES.LIS, mentioned in .5, contains the same information as
the replies to note 2 in TURRIS::EASYNET_CONFERENCES. There are no
time restrictions on access to EASYNET_CONFERENCES, though I would
recommend avoiding the peak hours of 11AM-2PM Nashua, NH time.
I've attached a list, excerpted from EASYNOTES.LIS, that gives
alternate locations for copying the file. (The same information is in
note 2 in EASYNET_CONFERENCES). My experience suggests that if you copy
EASYNOTES.LIS from an alternate location that you check the date at the
beginning of the file to ensure that it is reasonably current - updates
occur weekly.
