472.0. "Nat'l Women's History Month / Int'l Women's Day" by LDP::SCHNEIDER (contraction 4 THEY ARE = THEY'RE) Wed Mar 01 1989 07:42

    Unless I'm mistaken, it's National (U.S.) Women's History Month. All month!
    And March 8th is International Women's Day, but you knew that, right?

    Perhaps some discussion is in order, but (aside from the usual keen
    delight in starting a whole brand new note) my main reason for posting
    is to let you know about a radio show in observance of NWHM and IWD.

WEVO is at 89.1 in Concord, NH. There is a very weak translater at 88.1 in
Nashua, which is only designed to fill a reception hole in the Nashua area.
Away from downtown Nashua its signal decays quite rapidly. For example,
I find it's usually easier to get the 89.1 signal from ZKO (at the Everett
Tpk and Spit Brook Rd).

Unfortunately, WEVO's signal is not terribly strong, and it's difficult to
receive south of Chelmsford MA or so. Does anyone know if this show will
be carried by WGBH or WBUR in Boston?

472.3WEVO/Nashua is now at 90.3MOIRA::FAIMANlight upon the figured leafSun Mar 05 1989 21:505
    Apparently repeaters don't have any rights to the frequencies they
    use; so when some other station wanted to use 88.1, WEVO was forced
    to switch their Nashua repeater to 90.3.
