| You did not give the area you live in, but if you live in
the Nashua area, I suggest that you call the YWCA. They
have several very active groups although I have no idea
of the make-up of them.
And again, if you live in the Nashua area, on Thursdays (I think)
the Nashua Telegraph lists the various organizations and things
to do within the southern NH area and organizations are listed
there.
Have you attempted to join any of the Business and Professional
Women groups that are in just about every town or city? I know
there is a very active one in Boston than meets at Trinity church
at Copley. And there is one in Nashua.

| Thanks Marilyn... you're right I did forget to mention
where I live. I live in Marlboro, and your last paragraph
was more in tune to what I was interested in. You
mention they are everywhere... yet, I have not been able to
locate one.
That's what I am looking for... what are the names of these
Business Organizations? Who are the people they target as
members? Where are they located, or where do they meet?
Can you recommend a contact? Can you offer additional
information on any particular one?
Thanks!

381.4 | some more suggestions | HAMSTR::IRLBACHER | | Fri Jan 13 1989 09:03 | 23 |
| I suggest that you call the public library in Marlboro. Our
library in Nashua is more than helpful in matters like this.
And you could call the local newspaper if there is one in
Marlboro. I used to do PR for Rape and Assault in Nashua
and learned how to use newspaper resources--they are usually
quite helpful.
If I remember correctly when I was offered an opportunity to
attend the Nashua Business and Professional Woman's Organization
I went with someone who could "sponsor" me. No big deal, that.
At that time I chose not to join, but the several meetings I
attended were both interesting and I met some nice women who
shared common interests with me.
You might try the phonebook and see if "Marlboro Business..." etc
is listed; it isn't in Nashua, but...
Let me know if you find what you are seeking.
