Hi. I'm looking for information on giving yourself daily injectons and the drug Lupron. I have endometriosis that is quite painful and has not been helped by Danocrine and am in the process of deciding what to do next. Outside of pregnancy my choices seem to be either continuous Lo Ovral (birth control pills) or Lupron; a gnhr(?) analog drug that has not yet been FDA approved for use with endometriosis. Lupron can be obtained after signing consent forms but has to be injected daily. If any of you could share information on just how bad daily injections really are and any knowledge you may have on Lupron I'd really appreciate it. Thank you, Mary Jo

There is one (brief) topic in Womannotes V2 on endometriosis. It is topic number 63. In Womannotes V1, endometriosis is discussed in topic 742. I don't think either one goes into the treatments involved. Also, you could mention this in GUMMO::MEDICAL, and see if they have any input. -Jody | |||||

Jody - thanks for the pointers. You're right neither of the topics discuss Lupron or any of the experimental drugs, but thanks for suggesting it. I did enter the same note in MEDICAL after entering it in WOMANNOTES. Mary Jo |
