| ya know... moustaches are pretty easy to grow and they're even easier
to remove. i would think that any relationship (i'm taking the liberty
to assume that that's what you're interested in) that's solely based
on facial hair is doomed. why not arrange your face the way _you_
like it, meet someone wonderful and ask _her_ which she prefers?
good luck

| Personnally...
I love them. I don't know if it is because I can't grow one or
because it tickles me when my husband kisses me. Once, he shaved
his off and even though it didn't change the way I feel about him,
I persuaded him to regrow his because I think it makes him look
sexy and masucline.
As for mustaches on other men... I think a well kept, neat mustache
is as complementary as a tight tush. (my observation only, no
disrespect intended). Some men seem to have a real problem with
facial hair (I don't like beards), but if it feels good, go for
it! I vote yes.

Very true - sexy and masculine.....
(Beards can be nice looking, too....)

shaven, but I think most men look better with a moustache or beard.

re: everybody
Except I hate it when the moustache grows in half-heartedly and
looks sort of pathetic and sleazy. You should either have one or
NOT have one. IF you can't grow a fairly thick one, I'd say forget
it.

| Gee, all this support for facial fuzz! Guess I'd better try and balance
the view a little.
In general, I prefer clean-shaven men. Second would be
beard-and-moustache or beard-only, and way down at the bottom of the
list would be moustache-only. (I don't know why this is; maybe I was
scared by a caterpillar at an early age!)
Please note that this is a gross generalization. There are moustachioed
men whom I find attractive, and clean-shaven men whom I don't. But as
far as unfounded, unreasonable, gut-level prejudice goes - shave those
whiskers!

| I like men both ways, depending on the face structure. My husband
has a moustache and looks far sexier with one than without one.
I also agree that if you don't have heavy enough facial hair to
grow one that's full, then forget it.

| I love men with moustaches, except for handle bar moustaches... for
some reason those turn me off completely!...
For those women who have been kissed by a man in a moustache, I can't
see how they would ever want to be kissed by a clean shaven lip
ever again :-)....
I also agree that they tend to make men much more sexier looking...
Just my 2 worth....

than soft, it needs trimming more often to encourage kissing ;).

One thing I HATE is a beard without a moustache. I just think it
looks silly.
As an aside, I don't see many men with moustaches and no beards.
It doesn't seem to be too popular anymore (although I did see quite a
few in the Village this weekend in NYC!).
Moustache and beard is fine by me, as is moustache alone. In the
final analysis, I think whatever you think looks best on YOU is what
you should have. We can't offer a valid opinion if we don't know
what you look like.

I was under the impression that the "modern look" was clean
shaven, period. Having a moustache puts you "back in the 70's",
dont you think? Perhaps most women dont correlate a man's appearance
with an "era" or whatever.

I vote no but it's just a personal opinion. I think that the
AF has brainwashed me and I tend to like guys with very short hair
on their heads and no hair on the face.

I guess I'm just one of the oddballs, then (I tend to buck fashion
anyway). While I do sport a beard for the winter months (I start
growing it Columbus Day, and shave it off by Easter), the rest of
the time, it's moustache alone.
Though a few women have commented that it tickles during kissing,
any comments I've gotten on it have been positive. No one has ever
suggested that I get rid of it.

| With or without ---- hmmmm. Kind of like the question:
Do you like your hamburger with or without cheese?
Both are fine.
Just as a matter of course, my boyfriend has a very nice face
(most people remark he looks a somewhat like Kevin Cosner).
Anyway, he attempted a mustache not too long ago. It didn't
look bad, but why mess with an already nice creation?
So - he shaved it of his own doing, and quite frankly, his
features don't need covering, and the mustache did nothing for him.
Try it and see - the nice thing is that it's not permanent.

I'm all for secondary sexual characteristics. Go for the fuzz.
The only facial hair I don't like is the "Don Johnson" look. Just
makes a face look dirty and no one thinks beard burn is any fun.
Re: Handlebars - out here in the west there are a couple of
handlebar moustache competitions. I saw a group of guys in Denver
once that had absolutely fantastic handlebars. Besides, the guy
gives you any lip you can just grab a handle and negotiate. :*)

| I vote no for facial hair. My husband has tried them all. I do
not like being kissed by a man with a mustache. Goes up your nose!
I like a soft, clean face that smells heavely of nice cologne. Turns
me on! From some of the scenes in "soaps" people don't know how
to kiss remantically anymore. They are all tongue and don't
even get their faces together!
Some men need mustaches to hide defects, i.e. moles, acne scars,
large upper lip, etc. They don't have the advantage we women have
of using makeup. Personally, I have noticed that men who shave
off a beard or mustache look at least 10 years *younger*.

RE .11
Joe, sure you're not a little disappointed because you just shaved off
your mustache?!?
Anyway, I have a beard and mustache, I like it because:
1) Personally, I think I look better with one than without, and I've
been told more times than not.
2) I like the feel of it, and it keeps my face warm in the winter.
3) I hate shaving every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My ex would complain bitterly whenever I shaved it off, not only
because she likes beards (and hair in general), but because she found
the 5 o'clock shadow far scratchier than any beard could ever be.
Haven't any of you woman found that to be true, particularly those of
you who prefer clean shaven men?

| Personally, the only reason I grow a beard is so I'll have one less
thing to do in the morning. Problem is, a neat, well-trimmed one
requires just as much attention as shaving, and I'm one off those
people who's facial hair tends to grow as thick as a rug, and just
about up to my eyes, so an unbordered beard makes me look like a
bear. On the other hand, when I'm clean shaven I still, at the
age of 37, find myself getting carded regularly everytime I try
to buy a beer. Oh well, as Rosanna Rosannadanna (sp?) says "just
goes to show, it's always something"!

| I like beards and such. My husband has both and I wouldn't
have it any other way. I thinks he looks better with the hair
(it's hard to explain, but his face is crooked without them).
If he'd shave it off, I'd be fine with me also, because I believe
he should do as he wishes.

| I've got to put my vote in for the beard & moustache. Assuming of
course he can grow a decent one, full & soft. I don't understand
why women complain beards are rough on there face, a well groomed
beard is much easier on the face then 5 o'clock shaddow (ouch).
