341.0. "So long..." by AKOV12::MILLIOS (See CXCAD::PHYSCHALLENGED, Note 40) Tue Dec 13 1988 16:57

Like one or two people before me, I too will be off into the
       sunset soon.

My one-year stint as a co-op student for Digital is soon coming
to an end; my last day of work will be December 22nd. I will be
returning to the swampy climes of Washington, D.C., to make
further headway on the remaining three semesters that I have at
       Gallaudet University.

It has been good; I have learned much from the company and from
the people here. Digital is truly a great place to work, and I
only hope that I can return when I complete my degree.

Someone asked me the other day, "What will you miss the most when
       you leave Massachusetts, and Digital?"

Didn't take long for me to answer, "WomanNotes."

The spirit of free sharing, give and take, learn and teach, has
been embodied in WomanNotes since I first typed ADD ENTRY. I
have learned much here, and only hope that I taught a thing or
       two.

I will be electronically contactable. Those wishing to do so can
send a message (after January 2nd) to:

       DECWRL::"[email protected]"

Or, if you wish (in the spirit of Dave Barry) to send a large box
       of money:

       Bill Millios
       6505 Hillmeade Road
       Bowie, Maryland 20715

And, so, my friends, so long. If, at some time in the future, I
happen to re-join Digital, the second place I'll check into will
       be WomanNotes.

       Yours,
       Bill Millios

P.S. Oh, the first place? Operations, of course, to get my
             account. :^)

Today I was privileged to have lunch with Bill and learned
a lot more about Gallaudette college. I found myself wishing
that I could sign so I could talk and eat at the same time!

Goodby Bill and best wishes for your last three semesters.

Hey Bill Hope you're going to come back to Dec.

I too was a coop student. I worked in Nio for four
years as an engineering coop. Today I am working
full time for Dec in Marlboro. My boss now was my
very first coop boss. I am in a great position and
really love my job and the folks I work with.

Digital has been really good to me while I was
in school. I knew I wanted to stay with the company
from day one of my first coop assignment.
I hope that you too will be afforded the same
opurtunities that I was from Dec.

Hang in there with school. It is almost over.
Who knows you may be back with us sooner than
    we all know.

    Take care,

    Michele

Oh fooey. It was a pleasure reading your notes. I sure hope
you return to The Fold someday!

I was hoping to get to discuss some deaf-related issues with
you, and now I've lost my chance. Oh well.....maybe you'll see
my note on language and let us know if I have said something
    stupid, before you go.

    Take care,

    Dawn

These things really do seem to clump by threes! How rotten for
    us.

Do your last three and then c'mon back, Bill. We'll miss ya. Send
us the occasional update on your progress via edunet?
