| | I am 24, and love Disney! I only have Lady & the Tramp and Pete's
Dragon, and am trying to get everything else! (FYI, L&tT was a
Christmas gift from my more-than-understanding father-in-law.)

Sure, I wanted to be a Mouseketeer, and the great thing is, even
for my age, I look young enough to get in! The problem is, that
is one HECK of a commute! And I don't relish the idea of living
    in California or Florida.

P.S. My Maiden name used to fit the Mickey Mouse theme.
C-O-U T-E-R M-A-R-S-H! And one friend could only spell
    	  it that way.

| | I never really wanted to be a Mouseketeer....however

I have loved almost every feature-length movie that Disney has made,
as well as the older cartoons...

And, truth be told, if Fantasia every comes out on videotape, I
would have no qualms buying the tape and the VCR to play it on...
it's my favorite movie of all time...

| | I wore a tie today just so that I could wear my Mickey Mouse
tie tack in honor of his 60th birthday.

| | Sure, I always wanted to be a Mousketeer (if for no other reason
than to be near Annette and Darlene :-)).

I really wonder how well a new MMC show will end up being. For a
while, I was catching the original every afternoon on the Disney
    Channel.

| | Sh-booms, a 50's-60's club in Worcester (at the low-numbered end
of Main St, near the Marriott and the Courthouse and Lincoln Square)
will be celebrating the Mickey Mouse Club all week, in honor of
his birthday. Everyone will get mouse-ke-ears and they'll probably
be showing reruns of the shows and you can win a free trip to
Disneyworld and so forth and so on....

There was a 'new' MMC show in the mid-70s. The format was pretty
much the same, although it looked and felt much different.

Amen, Jody; I've been holding my breath a long time for that
    one.  I'm guessing that we won't see it soon (in our lifetimes?);
guess we'll have to make do with the periodic theater re-releases.

    re: Mousketeers

I never really wanted to be a Mousketeer. . .I wanted to be Spin
and/or Marty (and to try and get in the Annette/Darlene line with
    Jerry).

Wow, Steve, I was gonna ask about "Spin and Marty" but I thought
I'd get strange looks. (Like I was dating myself or something)

    I loved S & M (ok, don't get uptight..it was part of the Mickey
Mouse Club) on their dude ranch. Spin (Tim Considine) was my favorite.

Being too young to have seen the original shows (they were more
my mom's era :^) except for reruns, I remember the upstart attempt
at revival in the 70's. It flopped.

The scratchy reruns were much better, anyway. Much less commercial,
    more down-home let's have fun.
