Could someone please tell me what all these references to FWO: or FGD:, etc. on note titles mean? Thanks much. Carole

FWO = "For Women Only". FGD = "For General Discussion" Note 1 contains more information about these designations, but basically, some women have decided that occasionally they'd like to have FWO discussions. Each such note must be followed immediately by an FGD note. FWO notes are actually a courteous request rather than an enforceable designation. In general (and this is for all new noters), it's a good idea to read all of Note 1 when you first open a new conference. It will usually contain a set of guidelines and expectations that will help you navigate through the conference and understand some of its conventions. Liz

Thanks Liz.... What happened to .1? I read through all the notes in 1 and the only one that touched on these "codes" was .8, but it didn't explain what they were. Carole

Carole, I suspect that the author of .1 decided to delete her entry. and aha! thanks for pointing out the gap in 1.8. We'll try to add a quick note to explain the acronyms. Liz |
