    Hiya.  I hooked this off of VNS, and thought it was sufficiently
    outrageous to be introduced here.

I'd like to bring to your knowledge an item in the French TV news
yesterday night. 
    
"A 4-year-old girl has been taken away from her parents. They are
accused of educating their child with neo-Nazi concepts. The child is under
protection of the DDASS." 
    
THE PARENTS: They refute the fact of being neo-Nazi. They claim to
have no dealings with any extreme Right party. They concede that they told  
their daughter that slavery still exists in France, under the form of  
non-skilled workers getting the SMIG (minimum guaranteed salary). In 
summary, the parents seem to be "marginal" people, that want to change 
things, and who involve their child in their dreams. 
    
THE GRAND FATHER: He is the one who called the DASS (the French 
children's welfare association).  He is the one who accused his 
daughter and the child's father of being neo-Nazi.  He refused to 
appear on TV.
    
THE DDASS: They say the child does not want to see her mother. 
    
What worries me is not the parents being or not being neo-Nazi (neither  
am I).  What does worry me is the fact that MY 3 daughters could be taken  
away by the DDASS because :

 . I do not believe in God the way my mother would like me to and I do not  
   send my children to catechism.
 . I do have educational concepts that, I know, do not meet with the 
   approval of my second daughter's teacher.
 . I have Left-wing ideas and speak with my daughters (aged 14, 9 and 4) 
   about ideas my father would deeply refute.
 . My youngest daughter recently screamed "I don't want to stay with you 
   anymore, you are nasty" (she had just received my hand on her 
   rump).
    
In the 50's, in Switzerland, hundreds of children were taken away from 
"itinerant" families. A Swiss child welface institution (Pro Juventute) 
had decided that children who did not have a permanent address could not 
receive adequate education and scolarisation. Pro Juventute's actions 
in the 50's were revealed only few years ago. 
    
Tell me - if you do not beat your child (physically or emotionally), if 
you do not teach him (or her) to steal or kill others, how can a State  
institution decide that the ideological education you give is bad and so  
have the right to take your child away. 
    
By the way the mother of the child in the news is expecting a second child.
Do you think the DDASS should :
	1) "Miscarry" the baby ?
	2) Take the baby away at birth ?
	3) Something else ?

Hey! It's maybe a good channel for women waiting so long to adopt nice 
little French child.
