Well, there's ERIS::THREADS for sewing, knitting, etc., and
DELNI::SPINOFF for spinning and wool production.

| CQ,
Thanks!! The ERIS::THREADS may be what I'm looking for, but I was
also talking about like stuff on how to make different things; like
the wood cut out stuff that's become so poplar, grapevine wreaths,
etc.
I'll check out ERIS::THREADS!!
Thanks,
Virginia

196.3 | where to find conferences | CVG::THOMPSON | Basically a Happy Camper | Wed Sep 21 1988 17:30 | 28 |
| I may have said this before but here goes again.
Several places to find out about a conference.
1. ANCHOR::NET$LIBRARY:EASYNOTES.LIS
This is an ASCII text file (you can PRINT, COPY, TYPE, SEARCH
and/or EDIT it but you *can't* read it with Notes) that is
updated weekly. It lists well over 1000 conferences grouped
by subject.
2. VTX EASYNOTES
This is the VTX version of EASYNOTES.LIS.
3. TLE::EASYNET_CONFERENCES (hit KP7 to add to your notebook)
This is the notes conference where conferences are announced.
The DIR/TITLE command is very useful here. Also topic 2.*
has all the announced files listed one group to a reply.
You can enter a new note (in EASYNET_CONFERENCES) asking about
the existence of an unannounced conference but please be sure
you've made a real good effort to make sure one hasn't been
announced already. The moderator can be a real grump.

196.4 | Thank you very much | MSDOA1::MCMULLIN | | Wed Sep 21 1988 18:51 | 8 |
| Alfred,
Thanks!! I've always wondered how everyone else found out about
all these other conferences. I tried the "help" for notes, but
it didn't help me where this was concerned. Thanks to you, I'll
(hopefully) never have to ask for a node name again!! :-)
