| | Bonnie,

I'd love to help you out, however, all my rooms are full. I have
family staying with me until the end of September. Sorry.

Where is your class in Westfield?

Speaking of Westfield, I will also be out there training for
the last three weeks in September. I will be staying at the
Sheraton in West Springfield. Can anyone give me some hints
if you've been there? What's around? Where to eat? ETC??
    Thanks

    Michele

I'll give you one hint if you're staying at the Sheraton. Don't stay in
a room overlooking the pool unless you like to sleep in a very humid
climate.

| | Hey, Westfield isn't that bad. I transferred from MRO to WFO about
1 1/2 ago. Around the Sheraton W. Spfld, there is a shopping center
called Riverdale Shops. You'll find a lot of stores there. You
also have the Showcase Cinemas right next door. Ingleside Mall
is about 3 miles away. In that mall you'll find more than 300 shops
on 3 floors, not to mention all the different kinds of food.

Riverside Amusement park is about 10 minutes away in nearby Agawam,
MA (that's where I was born and raised). The Basketball Hall of
Fame is along RT291 in Springfield. Not to mention, there is
a really great restaurant about 1/2 mile from the Sheraton. It's
called Ivanhoes. You'll find a lot of Dec people there after work.
You'll also find a lot of Dec people at Samuels (bar/restaurant)
located in the Holiday Inn next to the Ingleside Mall.

Any other questions? If you've got the time, I've got the places.

| 133.5 | Food for thought | BOLT::MINOW | It's not pseudo eclectic, it's real eclectic | Thu Aug 25 1988 11:16 | 7 |
| | There's a nice German restaurant in downtown Springfield. I think
it's called the Student Prince.
New England Monthly magazine has a good restaurant review section that
covers the area.

| | Well, I messed up in a major way. I wrote the base note from
home while on vacation and got the site of my meeting wrong.
I've just spent two days in Westboro...and missed the chance to
get to see any friends in that general area.

However, so as not to have things be a total loss..I am converting
this note to a general note on travel to different Dec sites.

(and many thanks to those who did get in touch with me.. if I can
    stop being embarased! :-) )
