When giving credit to the author of a topic which was started in volume 1,
please try to provide the note number so that we can find it more easily.
(Not that I feel that anyone should feel obliged to read the original note!
I haven't read all of volume 1, but I sometimes go back to it for selective
reading of discussions that I missed when I did SET SEEN once upon a time.)
