6.0. "Pointers to the Archive" by MOSAIC::TARBET () Mon May 02 1988 16:08

    This string is meant for pointers into volume one of our file, now
    archived as WOMANNOTES.V1

    It's hard to predict what kind of pointers we might need, so it's
    good to have a sort of general place for them. If you put in a
    pointer, please indicate in the title what it's all about.

    if you just want to open it up without adding it to your notebook,
    you can type
    	NOTES> open/nonotebook MOSAIC::WOMANNOTES-V1

    hope this helps

    Thanks, Liz. The problem was that I still had it in my notebook
    as .V1 instead of -V1

    off the topic, but I've always gotten a kick out of doing this from
    VMS and abbreviating to get the command:

    $no/nono <node>::<file>
