725.0. "Day/Child Care Info Needed" by VIDEO::SFREEMAN (Sam Freeman, DTN 237-3597, SHR1-4/D24) Mon Feb 15 1988 09:20
My cousin, husband, and 8 month old are hoping to move to
the Arlington, Watertown, Brighton, Brookline, etc. area.
She's interested in finding out about day care in those
towns. Can any readers of this notes file help me out
with suggestions for locating a good facility or service?
Is there a notes file addressing this subject somewhere?
Thanks,
/Sam

| also, if your cousin works for DEC, there seems to be a new "daycare
referral" program starting up. there was an article about it in
the latest Digital this Week.

| There's a referral service in Waltham called Child Care Search.
The phone is: 891-4547. My daughter's day care center brought it
to my attention. It is relatively new, but all family day care and
day care centers that subscribe to it have to meet certain criteria
on an ongoing basis. It's an offshoot of the Office for Children.
