| Pam,
Worcester Poly Tech has a lovely estate called the Higgins House attached
to the campus, which is available for Weddings/Receptions. It has
beautiful gardens and the House itself is exquisite. If you'd like
the WPI Food Service (DAKA) will even cater. I worked for the food
service for a couple of receptions there, and the food served was
excellent (not at all like the $%&^ they served to us lowlife in
the campus cafeteria). Call WPI to reserve...
Across the campus in Elm Park (the oldest park in the country) is
a lovely wooden bridge that is popular for wedding photographs -
they used to kick us frisbee players out of that section of the
park when they were doing the photo sessions.

| There are some ideas way back in note 30...and I know that a couple
of other files like H_R have notes on wedding places. Does anyone
else remember any references to other notes.

| One of the most "New England" outdoor setting for a wedding is in
Sudbury at Longfellows Wayside Inn. The wedding chapel is right
next door - the Mary-Margaret Chapel and its open to all, with sufficient
notice. Call the Wayside Inn for details.
Also, in Westboro, the Country Club has been known to do a good job.

| on the previous reply and the M-M chapel,
note the operative word "sufficient" in the phrase "sufficient notice".
the wait can be more than a year.

Again, if you don't mind traveling a bit, Cathedral of the Pines
in Ringe, NH, makes a beautiful spot for a wedding.

| <Congratulations!!!>
When making the arrangements for our wedding last August, my
wife and I wished to hold the wedding/reception outside. As fate
would have it, we decided to do everything inside. It turned out
to be a blessing in disguise. It was cold and rainy for four
days straight until the morning after the wedding!!!
Don't forget to add Mother Nature to the guest list!!!
Good luck and have a wonderful time.

re: .8 - Thanks, it did give many good suggestions.
Any more? I'd love to hear them. As you can see I'm open to all
ideas, restaurants...?

| When I was at the art museum today I saw a wedding party assembling
as the museum was closing. The photographer was getting everyone
lined up for various shots with paintings in the background. I
don't know if they planned their reception there or just photographs,
but the location is something different.
