I usually keep quiet in this conference, but the noise level
is so high I'd like to propose a way to quiet it down. How about
negotiating a truce?
Maybe both "sides" of the "dispute" could place their "demands"
here and negotiate them here.
I am not trying to tell you how to run this conference, I am
trying to suggest a solution that I hope will work. I usually keep
my mouth shut here, but unless I've missed the intent of a previous
note I don't think this avenue of negotiation has been followed
yet. Please consider this course.

I would give the Women who support, moderate, and host the
WOMANNOTES conference complete control and the "last word" on topics
(and replys) entered here, after all, it *is* their conference, for
their interests.
If a topic or reply is actual trash, or does not correlate with
the subject or intent of the file, simply get rid of it, send it
back to the author with an explanation.
If a person exhibits belligerence toward any one member or the
collective whole, simply ask them to "leave", explaining why. *I'd*
certainly leave a space if knew explicitly that I wasnt wanted.
From what I've seen, I tend to believe people like a bit of
rhetorical sparing and jousting, with one another!
