Hi- I'm trying to make the difficult decision on a health insurance switch. It's between Central Mass. and Fallon. I would like to know if any of you have a recommendation for a good woman internist in Worcester that participates in either of these HMO's. I would greatly appreciate any responses. Thanks

If you don't get any personal responses, there are some people I trust at UMass I can ask about woman physicians at Fallon at CM--one nurse and a physician. You can call me on 291-7499 if you don't get the recommendation you need. Briana

I'm afraid I don't know her clinic affiliations, but there is a Dr. Blevin at Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Her first name sounds something like Penguin -- really interesting. She's thorough and pleasant. Now that the new parking is available at Memorial, her office isn't quite so difficult to access. Another suggestion would be to check with Personnel. They were able to give me some suggestions about a new (female) doctor when I moved up to N.H. Good luck. Betty

P.S. on .3 -- Dean Street accepts Central Mass and John Hancock. One general problem with Fallon is getting referrals outside if you want to use a specific physician -- they will rarely if ever refer you to someone not part of Fallon. |
