564.0. "Help for "trailing spouse"?" by IND::ROUNDS () Mon Nov 30 1987 15:50

My husband is quitting his job-of-11-years so I can transfer from the
New York area to Spitbrook, NH. Does DEC offer any kind of job-finding
assistance to "trailing spouses"? I'm not getting much response from
the various recruiters I've called.

    You might try asking this in HUMAN::DIGITAL. Or, call Personnel
    at the Spit Brook Road (Nashua, NH) facility. Press KP7 to add
    HUMAN::DIGITAL to your notebook.

And if he is interested in contracting, he is welcome to call me for info
on local agencies and practices. I spent six years as contract tech writer
and am happy to be of help. (I took a permanent job at DEC last week
because I'm working with a great group.)

    	This is too late, I fear, but you could have made his being
    given a job part of the package of agreements you put together for
    your position.
