I'm interested in finding out about the current status of the class-action suit involving a drug known as DES. It was given to "high risk"pregnant women in the early 1950's to prevent miscarriage and has now been associated with increased risk of cancer in their children. I believe the company responsible for the drug was Robbins but not completely certain. Please respond here if you know where I can obtain further information. thanks...........Carol

There is (was) a DES Action Committee in New York state somewhere. I think they were in the Albany area; sorry I can't be more specific. Another source of information would be the Harvard Medical School. I once received a referral from them for a DES-knowledgable physician. -Susan |
