I'll be there... alone.

Howzabout I bring a crock pot full of (and see if I can get the spelling
right) ratatouille? It's yummy stuff, and if we get snowed out, that'll
be dinner for me and the hub. It's a veggie dish in tomato sauce and cheese!

I'm travelling from Pepperell, which is right on Route 111. Anyone wishing
to carpool with me is welcome to meet at my house!! My Hyundai comfortably
seats 3 others, 4 if you're skinny!

area interested in carpooling can contact either one of us.

I plan to come. I live in Marlboro. Is there anyone else
from Marlboro who would be interested in carpooling?

I don't cook, but I'll be happy to bring food that doesn't
require I do anything to it after I buy it! Any suggestions,

I am also planning to attend, and hope that in the next two months nothing
comes up to change that. (At least my friend already had her baby and ruined
our last advance planning :-))

I'd love to bring something for dessert; being on this diet for so long has me
aching to be baking :-). Maybe I'll see what other people are bringing and
be more specific later, if that's OK.

I live in Carlisle, right off Rt. 225, if anyone's nearby and in the right
direction.

(I assume an address and directions will be coming later?)

Since the party date is so far in advance we may want to wait
until late January to firm up a food list. If people just want
to say they intend to come right now that's ok and I can get
back to those who haven't signed up for food later on.

By the way - anyone who reads or contributes to Womannotes is welcome to

This is a request for help. I need at least one other person
to help me put together a distribution list of all those
who said they were coming, plus additions. I am totally overwhelmed
    with work right now.

Party date is still set for Feb 6 and we need people to start
thinking about what they will bring.

Again any contributors are invited and people should feel free
to bring so's - with the understanding that there is a parking
    problem.

I will bring an Oriental veggie dish if I can come.

Leslie, how bad is the parking? Is there adequate parking for those
willing to walk a bit? Please fill me in.

Hi Folks,
Our driveway can hold 10 cars, if my hubby can help each driver with car
placement. I'm going to be talking with our neighbors to see whether we
can get more space there. There is a house for sale on our street w/ a
long driveway, so maybe we can use that. Normally parking on the street is
fine, since its so lightly traveled, but with the snow its going to be
  tight.

The chief of police lives on our street, so I guess I'll call him and ask
his advice. What are talking about here? 15 cars? 50? More?!? What's
  reasonable?

A map to our home will be sent out via electronic mail early next

    the distribution list.

I wasn't very anxious to have the map posted in the conference --
too much visibility. Don't worry, we haven't lost anyone yet
trying to reach the house; we live in Harvard and are very
    convenient to Rt.495 and Rt.2.

    See you next week....

120.41LTN1 directions from RT 495 & RT 2CAD::LTSMITHLeslieFri Jan 30 1987 11:109
LTN Plant is the closest plant to our house. To reach it, take
the Taylor Road exit off of Rt 2. It is just west of the Rt 495/2
interchange and comes up very quickly.

At the end of the exit ramp go right -- up the hill. Take your
first left. LTN2 is on the left corner, LTN1 is the next plant
down. I recommend parking in LTN1, as the lot appears to be
larger, and there is a nice lobby to meet in.

re meeting at LTN:

Is there some way to organize meeting at a certain time and carpooling over to

details. How many people are interested in doing this? What is a good time to

Where in the parking lot should we meet? I've never been to LTN myself.

Hi Folks,
The day of our party is almost here. I'll be sending out the map
to our home this afternoon via mail. If you don't receive yours
by tomorrow at noon, send me mail so I can resend.

    Details are as follows :

	Start: 6:30 PM, Friday 2/6/87
	End : ????
Bring: What you signed up for, plus what you'd like to drink.
Plan on having dinner at the party; we'll have lots of
	       food -- even a DEC Turkey ;-)
Cars : Looks like parking will be ok in the neighborhood if
you arrive with at least one other person. Ed will be
on hand to assist with parking.
Setup: Party Coordinators can arrive from 5:30 on.

If there are other questions, please send mail to
STUBBI::B_REINKE or myself, as the work load doesn't allow me to
check Womannotes as often as I'd like.

And please, folks, the bigger the turnout the better. We'll all
be in the same boat -- trying to attach faces to usernames.
We've got a great community here; let's share it in person. See
    you Friday.....

Karen Taber, who had a crockpot stewing on low at home, was tied up
with some very cosmic issues from which she still hasn't recovered
and who didn't realize she wouldn't be making the party until she
called Bonnie around 4-ish on Friday.

Many regrets had here, one directed toward letting the turkeys get
me down that far and missing the party; the others to be taken as
a parting shot in a note in the near future.

In crypticism,
Karen

Karen, I hope that doesn't mean that you are departing from the
file as a co-moderator. [parting shots??] Are you ok? You are
loved and appreciated here, and we await your re-entry into active
    participation!

120.58What a *SPLENDID* party that was!!VIKING::TARBETMargaret MairhiTue Feb 10 1987 12:316
Many thanks to Leslie and Ed for their support (what a beautiful
house they have!), and thanks as well to Bonnie and Peggie for doing
the sorting-out and organising. I can't think when I've enjoyed
    myself more.

I'd also like to thank Leslie and Ed for the party. While there,
I felt a real sense of (good) power -- A reminder that we all
support one another and that together we are strong. So thanks
    to everyone else, too.

No, not parting to WOMANNOTES... parting to other things I've held
onto too long....

I'm basically read-only for awhile, until things start to relax around
here (work)...

Keep up the good work, the good thoughts, and the good issues.
Lord knows that around here, if we don't discuss them, no one will...
and then where will we all be?

Karen
