82.0. "Appreciation for the moderator" by MTV::HENDRICKS (Holly Hendricks) Thu Sep 11 1986 15:08

    I would like to express some appreciation for the moderator of this
    file :-). I especially like Maggie's humor, active involvement, and
    skillful management of potential hassles. I don't think it is any
    accident that a number of people have recently commented that
    womannotes is one of the most enjoyable and interesting conferences on
    the net.

    Thank you!

    Hear! Hear!

    I heartily second that appreciation. I recently became co-moderator
    of a Conference, and can even more applaud Maggie's style.

    Thanks for a good example.

	    [RE .5]: If you purge this, it would be a radical departure
	from your nonintrusive style of moderation. Some civil libert-
	ies types might even start a new note condemning your new style.

82.8moderator, file, and notersHUMAN::BURROWSJim BurrowsSat Sep 20 1986 03:276
        Not only is the moderation good, but the file as a whole could
        easily be the best employee interest conference in terms of the
        behavior of the noters, the quality of the responses, the
        supportive atmosphere, and the positive impact of it all.

82.9Tough job well doneREGENT::MINOWMartin Minow -- DECtalk EngineeringMon Sep 22 1986 11:137
Echo of .8.

I'm trying to do the same thing with REGENT::NO_SMOKING, and find it's
an uphill battle to keep things "moderate" without being either
heavy-handed or obtrusive.

82.10and this file IS "work-related"VIKING::FLEISCHERBob FleischerTue Sep 23 1986 17:539
I think that it is important to emphasize that this file is "work-related".
Many, many of the discussions are directly related to work at Digital, and
others are employees helping employees to perform functions similar to things
that the company does pay money for (I have in mind the EAP program, as well as
some training programs).

Thanks for this substantial contribution to the corporation, Meg!
