171.1 | MS GIF ANIMATOR | CIM2NI::CROSBY | | Fri Apr 04 1997 15:22 | 8 |
| The Microsmurfs have a free download called GIF Animator. Frankly, I don't know
how it compares. I tried it once, and it seemed like you had to create individual
images, kind of like a Gumby cartoon.
I wonder if Macromedia, or someone in the 3-d animation space has an easier to use
tool?

| There's a popular shareware tool called the GIF Construction Set which
can create animated GIFs, even setting the number of iterations.
Corel Photo-Paint 7 can also create animated GIFs. You need to create
the frames individually in both cases.

| There is a powerfull and easy to use tool called "animagic"
(including pre-defined effects).
You can get a free copy from the site http://www.download.com/

| Another way to create animations is morphing. I use Morpher, a shareware
that you can download from http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~FX6M-FJMY/
