163.0. "Embedding MIDI in HTML" by NETRIX::"[email protected]" (Leon Eno) Wed Mar 05 1997 21:49

Working locally on my pc, I embedded a midi file and it worked just fine,
I told it to use the smallconsole and I ended up with a small gui arrow for
play and a gui box for stop. Once I placed the code on the server on Dascomb
Rd, the way the embedded player acted changed dramatically, now I get
mplayer32.exe
load an OLE image in place of the smallconsole gui controls and the music
does not start automatically , I need to double click on the player to start
the music. Also, my tool icons and location area in Netscape dissapear when
I double click on the the OLE image, and anything after the embed instruction
dissapears off the screen after a refresh of the HTML page. Any thoughts,
please
let me know. Also for Internet Explorer, the midi file starts but there are
no controls for stopping it.

    Hi

What is the correct syntax for enabling the auto-playing of MIDI files
    in Netscape Navigator?

    Thanks!
