Hi

I have the problem described in entry 493 and solved by Blitz 2274 (notes
93.46) , I have substitude the module how suggested but after the replacement
the problem still exists.

I have a question: how is possible identify the correct reworked module , we
have received two board at revision D07 but both present the same problem that
I have before the substitution ( the original bord have D07 revision)

Thank you in advance for any suggestion

    Similar problem:-

    4100 with bios 5.28, RRD45.

    (on internal controller)
Runs Firmare upgreade CD, Loads UNIX CD, FAILS TO LOAD SAP DATABASE
    (Hangs)

Connect CDROM to external (KZPAA) controller, does all of above plus
    now loads SAP database.

    Bus config checked...OK.

    All HW swapped:-
    drive, terminators, cables, 3040,3050, Firmware.....(D07)

Still won't load SAP database on internal controller.

    Any offers?...

	Same problem.

C.D. connected to internal SCSI doesn't work.

Moving the SCSI bus connector from B3050 to a KZPAA installed
on same B3050, solve the problem.

System configuration: AS4100 single CPU 400 Mhz
					 Memory 512 MByte
					 KZPSA + 5 RZ28
KZPAA (added to use internal RRD45)

				Operating System Unix 3.2G

	Firmware updated from c.d.3.9

Replaced: 2 x RRD45, 2 sets of SCSI cables and terminators
		  2 x B3050, 1 x B3040

Also setting SCSI to slow the problem still to exists.

    Re: replies .1 and .2

In each case, could you post the PCI option config for your respective
systems when using the embedded NCR CD/ROM as well as the config used
to resolve the problem (i.e. using the embedded NCR)?

We're seeing a lot of this problem (and not necessarily due to the
aforementioned Blitz). We're trying to collect as much config info as
possible. SRM console SHOW FRU display output would be ideal, but we'll
take anything you can give us.

    Thanks,
