| Currently there is no way to obtain the temperature under OpenVMS.
In a future release, we plan to make the system temperature available
to a remote PC running ServerWorks.

| I could read .1 as meaning "you can't get at it locally, you will
need a PC".
Can I safely assume that's NOT what you meant ?

| The only documented and support way to obtain the temperature is via
a remote PC with ServerWorks. The OpenVMS system must be running UCX
V4.1 TCP/IP networking, plus some additional software planned for a
future release of OpenVMS.
I can supply a small test program which uses new undocumented
$GETSYI item codes to obtain the information. This test program will
not be supported or documented.
Note the temperature sensor is located on the I2C bus, which requires
a several thousand line device driver to support the bus protocal.
