| My counterpart in DECwest (AlphaBIOS) tells me that he has been
contemplating adding such a feature to AlphaBIOS and that he may be
able to slide it into an upcoming (V5.30) release. No commitment to do
so, however, due to time constraints. Feel free to contact him directly
to request it for a future release if he can't add it in V5.30 AB.

579.2 | AS2XX0s can do it today | ZPOVC::JUSTIN | | Tue Apr 29 1997 21:52 | 10 |
| Thanks for your reply. It will be good to be able to set the OCP
display under the NT console mode.
Just to further confirm on the AS2XX0s we can set the OCP display on
the >>> prompt (VMS/UNIX Console mode) then revert to NT mode without
losing the OCP display. However the AS4X00 does not allow us to do
this today. Is this correct?

| That is true. The ARC console on the Sable (2100) family did not
overwrite the OCP display. AlphaBIOS on the 4100 family does.
Unfortunately, we don't share environmental variables, so it will
likely be a menu item for AlphaBIOS/NT OCP displays (if implemented).

| Matt Buchman has confirmed that he has added said capability under
Advanced CMOS Set-up in AlphaBIOS V5.30 - due to be shipped on the
V4.0 Corporate FW Update CD (~ in early July).
