Customer wants to have three heads on an AlphaServer 4100.  I know the AS4100
doesn't support the high end graphics cards above the PowerStorm 4D20 cards.
(electrical reasons I beleive) However, is there any limitations on putting
three 3D30s, three 4D20s, or even 3 of the Trio cards in a single 4100?  The
operating system is OpenVMS which supports three heads on our workstations.

    Since no reply to this note yet, I figured I'd post a "starting point"
    answer. Looks like it may have been tried, but not sure about degrees

Hi Bill,
    I only ever tried 2 and it worked for me.. WHen the Open 3D folks attempted
a "quick qual" they had some difficulty. I thought their problems were sysgen
parameter related but they had to defer further work. I'm not sure where they
are with the effort, but they were trying for 3 heads and a 4 proc SMP 
environment. This effort was being managed/monitored by Lori Carlson, who is
now on maternity leave. Dick Coulter's group was doing it but I'm not sure 
who the resource is..I'll try and poke this a bit today to see who knows what.

It appears that testing has been done on multiheaded 4100s but as of now it is
iffy as to whether or not it works using the Powerstorm graphics cards. 
Certainly cannot recommend a customer to do this.  I appreciate your comments.
