Hi Bill,
Yes I can respond to this from experience. The "crash" is in fact only
the DECevent process. Not the operating system. Did it many times myself.

I hope you mean that DECevent prior to V2.3 with the V4.0 FRU table entry
will hang or prossibly crash the DECevent user process, not the operating
system!
