    The  Corporate price file shows that the RRD45-VA is now in
    maintenance mode and not saleable. The corporate price file
    also  indicates that a replacement part exists which is the
    DS-RRD46-VA  .  I  have  seen  the  retirement  blurb  from
    StorageWorks  within  the "Storage Initiative Newsletter 1"
    which also states the RRD46's variations as the replacement
    for the RRD45's variations.

    Question: Since the DS-RRD46-VA is not in  the  AlphaServer
    4000/4100  supported options list dated Feb 10th, can I get
    a reply from engineering as to the  support-ability  of the
    DS-RRD46-VA.

    Situation: Trying to get an order placed (Q3 timeframe) for
    three AlphaServer 4100s. Two 4100s  configured  in  a  UNIX
    TruCluster  production server configuration and one 4100 in
    a Windows NT configuration.

    Thank-you  in  advance  (time  is  an issue for catching Q3
    revenue).

	RRD46 is replacing the RRD45. It will be embedded with every system and available as an option. Time frame is Q4. Todd
