464.0. "WNT...Hit any key to continue" by FOUNDR::TOMASWICK (Joe - Enterprise Systems Engineering) Mon Feb 03 1997 15:07
I have a similar problem as 58.5 with WNT.
From the boot page, when the autotimed finished, or when <enter> was
hit, the screen blanked, but instead of the OSLOADER message the
message was "Hit any key to continue".
This was a system that had been running UNIX. I tried to run setenv as
suggested but it can't find the file. This system is running ALPHABIOS 5.24.
Where does setenv reside? How can I run it with 5.24?
Joe

464.1 | setenv works on older FW | FOUNDR::TOMASWICK | Joe - Enterprise Systems Engineering | Tue Feb 04 1997 10:47 | 9 |

I backed off to the previous version of the firmware and setenv worked.
I was able to set CONSOLEIN & CONSOLEOUT as suggested. WNT then booted
OK.

| I had the same problem .... also had to back down to 5.21.
How do we solve this on current versions of Alphabios as currently shipping?
Steve.
