    Hello,
    
    One of our clients would like to use the Optical Storage Management
    Software (OSMS) for Digital Unix, V1.4 and the Alphaserver 4100.
    
    I have reviewed the SPD of OSMS which requires a Digital Unix version
    of V3.0, V3.2, V3.2B or V3.2C.
    
    On the other hand, it appears that AS4100 requires a minimum Digital
    Unix version of V3.2F (reference to note #14 of this conference).
    
    Does AS4100 support Digital Unix V3.2C, so that OSMS can run on it ?
    
    Please advise.

    Only V3.2F, V3.2G, V40.A, and V4.0B versions of UNIX support 4100/4000.

    There are currently no optical storage devices (besides RRD45 single CD
    ROM drive) supported on the AS 4000 family under UNIX.  None are
    currently in qualification or planned to be.  If you have a business
    case for these devices you should contact Bill Gens.
