I'm seeing this ocp display: unload console ... calls at the CSC. I would appreciate some assistence in understanding this ocp display. I am assuming that post testing has completed, boot cpu has passed self-test, and the system is loading srm to primary cpu. We always start with swapping all that cowboy paraphernalia. My last experience with this problem was resolved via the iod module. The pcm module, iod module leds indicated "happy cowboy" status Question: 1.) Exactly what does "unload console" mean? 2.) Assist with some logical troubleshooting approach. thanks

You should check out the SROM/XSROM spec in note 38.2 (POSTSCRIPT file). It describes step-by-step behavior of the power-up SROM and XSROM test code, OCP and COM1 output display messages, LED status, suspected FRU callout, test algorithms, and a lot more. If the spec doesn't answer your questions, let me know. BC |
