Subject: Statement of Support for CIPCA-BA under OpenVMS 6.2-1H3 on the
AlphaServer 4000/4100
This is to notify you of support of the CIPCA-BA PCI-CI adapter
under the OpenVMS 6.2-1H3 operating system on the AS4000/AS4100 Systems.
The minimum shippable F/W revision: 214
The minimum SRM console revision tested: 3.0-10
The minimum Operating System Versions tested: VMS 6.2-1H3
The maximum number of adapters supported: 2
Notes:
1. This adapter is functionally equivalent to the CIPCA-AA. The -AA variant
is a two module option, one EISA module and one PCI. The CIPCA-BA is also
a two module option; both modules are PCI.
2. Cluster environment must conform to restrictions of the CIPCA/VMS cluster
operation as documented in the OpenVMS 6.2-1H3 release notes.
3. First Revenue Ship scheduled for week 1 April 1997.
4. CIPCA-BA preferred firmware version is A315.
5. SRM V4.8 console allows use of the console "TEST" command when CIPCA is in
the system and is required for use with 466 MHz CPUs and mixed 300 MHz
EV56/EV5 CPUs.
