Hi,
That's certainly an easy question for a lot of people.
I will have to configure IAS with DECsafe, and I'm wondering how
to proceed. (config is DUNIX V4.0b, 2 AlphaServers 1000A, 1 shared BA356)
I found these manuals in the box, however there's no links/relations
between them.
1) Internet AlphaServer Software Kit - Install Guide => ias_install.sh
2) Internet AlphaServer DECsafe - Setup Guide => ase_config.sh
Should I start
with (1) on BOTH systems, and then (2) ?
or (1) on one system, and then (2)
or directly (2)
Can somebody tell the right choice ?
thanks,
fab

Install IAS and ASE on all systems. Order makes no difference. Configure the ASE services with asemgr and verify that they relocate and failover properly. Run ase_config.sh from the IAS CD-ROM on all servers and migrate the IAS services onto the ASE service. | |||||
