Our OS is WIndows NT and the connection lock the system.

216.1a couple of things to tryRLTIME::COOKWed Apr 23 1997 15:4013

What are the symptoms? Is it that he can't do the physical connection or does
the system not detect the mouse and keyboard on boot? If the latter, you may
want to try a couple of things.

Swap the keyboard and mouse. I believe on some of the early shipments the
icons on the cable were swapped and you may just have the connections reversed.
If that doesn't help, try plugging in just the keyboard and see if that boots.
It may be a bad cable or connection.

    AS Al says it should work. I brought up one of our lab systems without
    problem yesterday.  An added question:

    	Does it hang in any particular application, or 'immediately'?

    A further note on the cable marking:
    It seems, for reasons which are uncelar, that there exists a market for
    _both_ sets of markings. Ours are supposed to all come thru alike, but
    its real easy for a vendor to get things like that confused.
