Test Results DMCC and SCO OS
============================
Peter Brittain and me did some testings on DMCC and SCO OS's. We did
test
the following HW:
Backplane : Atacama
SBC : PIP10 (Rushmore)
NIC : DE200, DE203
Graphic : Standard VGA
Disk : RZ28
CD : RRD43
Memory : 32 MB
SCO UnixWare 2.1.1
------------------
Installable : Yes
Notes
Only the DEC EtherWorks Turbo (DE20x) NIC seems to
be supported from the OS. No drivers for additional
Digital NIC's found.
SCO Open Server Version 5.0
---------------------------
Installable : Yes
Notes
The installation procedure did not recognis
the NCR Onboard controller. Additional drivers
(slha) included in the BTLD which are either
part of the distribution or available on the net
at ftp://ftp.sco.com/AHS/5.0/sco/5.2 had to
be linked to the kernel. Using the link command
at the "boot:" prompt.
No Digital NIC's are supported by default
from SCO OpenServer but there are drivers
available under
<a
href="http://npbwww.hpn.lkg.com/dr/nics/drivers.">http://npbwww.hpn.lkg.com/dr/nics/drivers.</a>
<pre> For some Digital NIC's only LLI drivers are
</pre>
available.
After the OS installation the drivers have to
be installed in 'maintenance mode' (aka single-user
mode) with the 'installpkg' command.
