| Bonjour,
We have intalled last Friday "Windows NT 4.0 Server" without any
problem on a similar configuration (DMCC ETM10).
CPU 100 Mhz (I-bus SBC)
64 Mb Memory (2 x 32 Mb)
7-Slot Backplane (including NCR53C810 PCI-SCSI Ctrl)
SCSI CD-ROM (RRD43-AA)
SCSI Disk (RZ25L)
ISA graphic Ctrl (GXE#9 3Mb VRAM)
PCI Ethernet Ctrl (DE435-AA)
On this system the customer (GE Medical Systems, Buc) has also
installed succesfully SUNsoft SOLARIS X86 Version 2.6 Beta.
PS : "Windows NT 4.0 Server" runs also fine on the Intel Rushmore product
while we have problem to install SUNsoft SOLARIS X86 V2.6 Beta on the
same configuration.
Regards
/Francois

163.3 | Perhaps behind a bridge device bug? | MQOOA::LEDOUX | Vincent [email protected] | Mon Feb 10 1997 16:48 | 26 |
| I also have I-bus 133 Mhz (BIOS OPTI50i / 06-17-96)
and I installed NT 4.0 workstation without problem
from a win95 installed in an IDE drive. The NT was
installed on a SCSI disk. It did the multi-boot
menu to select which OS to boot as expected.
On power up, the screen shows Rev: 2.64 V093BSDQ (Whatever that is)
My config is:
7 slot backplane (NCR810 on board)
Ibus- 133 Mz
64 Meg parity RAM
Stealth Diamond PCI graphics (1 meg)
AMD based network card (Ethernet) AKA PCnet PCI II
ISA sound blaster 16
one IDE ~500 Meg drive
one RZ26
one RRD45
one Floppy based tape backup (Aspen? QIC 80) (No NT support)
Worked fine!
Perhaps some device do not like to be behind a bridge?
Vince.
