On the DMCC training in Ayr, I thought I heard a mention of a fix to
the IDE problem. But I can't see any evidence on the order menus.

So, in the interim, anybody got any DIGITAL part numbers for a variety
of IDE (1 or 2GB or so) drives and an IDE CDROM ?

    regards

John,

Two IDE drives are added to the new order menu about to be submitted.

These are 2.1Gb and 3.2Gb drives. There are plans to qualify and IDE
CD-ROM but as yet none have been available within the AYO plant.

The two parts are

	SN-PCXRA-AP	3.2Gb IDE
	SN-PCXRA-AN	2.1Gb IDE

Information about options that have been qualified/are about to be qualified
can be found from the following web location

	http://spindrift.ayo.dec.com/optionqu/

This is an experimental site which may become permanent if it is found to be
useful to persons outside of the engineering group.

Ahhhhhhhhhh! Why didn't I think of that - now the PWSi is out there are
non-PCBU part numbers for PCworld kit! The CDROM from the PWSi is an
SN-PBXRD-DB, according to my trusty SOC. I wonder what colour it is.

Will specifying these IDE bits result in an order going into CTS hold ?
What about IDE cables - do I need to order them separately ?
Will this lot be factory integrated ? etc (Today these are hypothetical
questions as the request was for a quote but hopefully it will become
    an order).

    regards
    john
