87.2Voltage LEDs: Meaning?GONE::PIERSONFri Apr 25 1997 17:1121
    Question:
    	What do the voltage LEDs in the DMCC components really indicate:
    	Voltage present, or present & within spec?

    Answer:
    	There are several sets:
    		Backplanes have them.
    		OCPs have them.
    		Alpha SBCs have them.

    	NONE are controlled by 'precision comparators'. Just an
    	appropriate resitor to the relavant voltage. They ARE NOT
    	precision indicators....

    	(The 2.... V on EBM2x is, sort of, since that voltage is from
    	an on board regulator, that won't run unless its pretty close to
    	right on. But the LED circuitry, per se, is a resistor to the
    	supply rail).
