Customer is having a problem with PAW 3.0. When inventorying DUNIX (3.2G or 4.0) nothing shows up in the license database. They can see the property but not the actual data. And the license database name is missing. **BUT** If you click on UNIX SW button, it lists all the registered software. Why doesnt this show up in the license database? Where is the "UNIX SW" icon getting its registered software from? Quick response greatly appreciated! Sandra Mereos Colorado Customer Support Center

Have seen it before where there is no Name for the License Database, two fields blank, third just says LMF. The bigger issue is you are seeing no license data. Although if you are seeing software and user groups (which travel with the license data) then ??? Have any compressed or non compressed files been delayed in processing, held in badmifs etc.. Try making a change locally on LMF, then do a pawinv with the software option and follow the progress upwards, see is any info stalled. You could also look at the Mif before it gets compressed on the UNIX system to see if License info is being created. If it is and not getting up, remove the UNIX local copy of its inventory and get a full inventory sent up. Have fun, Richard data |
