Hi,
I'm having some problem with the SMS inventoried data, which always stuck at
the SMS\SITE.SRV\dataload.box\deltamif.col after approx. 20 - 30 process of
data inventories. The first few inventories works OK until to the end, but the
problem arise after that. I've checked the SQL database size and there are
still having a very large number of free space. The connection to the SQL
database from the SMS Admin UI also is working OK. All the services for SMS,
SQL and AssetWORKS are running, with no errors. The server has been setup with
the WNT 4.0 (SP1), SMS 1.1, SQL 6.5 and AssetWORKS 2.0 in an AlphaServer 1000.
Has anyone face this problem before, Pls advise.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Azza

974.1 | See Datalodr.log for information | ESSB::RJOYCE | | Tue May 06 1997 09:54 | 12 |

Hi,
Look in the SMS LOGS directory for Datalodr.log and Datalodr.lo_. View
them using the SMSTRACE utility and see what they say. This is the
component that should process the files into the D/B. Sometimes it can
take large mifs a long time to process, (see TechNet). Do you see
anything in the NT Events?

974.2 | Perhaps you're running out of SQL connections? | NETCAD::BUCCIARELLI | Lisa Bucciarelli DTN 226-5098 | Tue May 06 1997 09:58 | 8 |
| I have a possible stab in the dark (pulled from a foggy memory).
Have you checked your allowable maximum SQL user connections? The numbers 20-30
seem to ring a bell. I believe that the default when you install the SQL
server is 20. You might try upping this and seeing if it makes a difference.
Good luck!
