Hi Folks,
I have attempted to install the HP-UX client for PAW V3.0 on a
9000/887
The installation fails when the script attempt to modify the crontabs file for
root. The schedule perl script generates a floating exception and core dumps.
If I manualy modify the /usr/adm/cron/crontabs file the software
appears to install o.k. up until the point where hardware and software
inventory is generated. At this point the makemif generates a floating
exception and core dumps:
./makemif: 2719 floating exception core dumped.
The HP-UX version is A.09.04 9000/887. When I attempt to reinstall
with the crontab entries included, the system again generates a floating point
excepion when deinstalling previous versions:
/tmp/pawdeinst_local: 3908 floating exception - core dumped.
There are a number of 9000/700 series on the site and none of these
systems have displayed any of the above problems with the installation. This
appears to be the same problem as with earlier versions of Assettworks {V2.0,
V2.1}.
Again the SPD explicitly states that HP-UX 9000 Series 800 systems
are supported. Has anybody else seen this with Polycenter ASSETTWORKS V3.0.
