873.0. "WIE BE Having FUN!!!" by SUBPAC::HIRMER () Thu Mar 21 1996 08:44

I just wanted to thank Garth and his family for a wonderful
    dinner this past Monday.

Garth has a beautiful family. A lovely wife who's an excellent cook
and 3 well-behaved, fun-loving boys, being as good looking as they are
obviously take after their mother, (Praise God for beautiful mothers!!
    I know I do everyday :-))

Once again, thank you very much!! WIE BE having FUN!!!

It is refreshing to be able to talk with people person-to-person who would
otherwise only be known as a faceless nodename::username.

Maybe some day conferences such as this will include the capability to
store and recall audio/video tracks.

In the meantime, if anyone wants to know what we look like, you can copy
netcad::kali$user23:[wiebe]wiebe95.jpeg and view the file locally using a
web browser or most any other program that displays graphics files. (And
no, I do not have my own web page.)

The title note is an allusion to an open invitation that our family has
to people we know. My wife wrote up the following to hand out to our
friends, which I converted to a straight ascii textfile format. I would
like to extend the invitation all you people that I know online to visit
us at our home in Ayer, MA.

                             Wie-be Having Fun

                            I've picked the day,
                           now you pick the month
                                (or months).

Garth says this won't work, that after the first month or two no one will
come, but I'm tired of saying "Let's get together some time soon." So now
I'm doing a year of inviting at one time. Here's the plan: You look down
down this list and mark your calendar for days you would like to come.
RSVP, (508)772-0716 by the 25th of the previous month, to let me know how
many to plan for, find out what you can bring or what exactly is going to
take place. You will note one "To Be Announced" date, your suggestions are
welcome.

I scanned the picture in using the little EasyPhoto photograph scanner that
you might have seen in the PC catalogs. My wife's dad gave it to us a few
months back.

If anyone wants to send me a picture (up to 5x7" maximum), I would be happy
to scan it in for them.

I had the privilege of meeting Peter Hirmer for lunch a couple weeks
ago. The time was enjoyable and the fellowship with another brother in
    Christ was refreshing.

I think Garth's going to have to work on Peter some more to get him
straightened out on baptism, though. :-)

Wayne Parker's name came up at a meeting I was in last week.

One day soon, I'll make it around to meet him!

Was my name taken in vain? :-)

You may make a presentation to the CMOS Development Committee sometime,
and you'll see me at the table.
