799.0. "It's time to say goodbye..." by IOSG::DIMON () Thu Sep 14 1995 05:51

    The time has now come for me to leave Digital, my contract expires on
    the 15th September, so I thought i'd just take this opportunity to say
    goodbye.
    
    The last 15 months have been very varied for me, but one thing that I will
    remember is the fellowship I have received. When I arrived at DEC I was a 
    young Christian (of less than a year). I thought I was going to be the only
    Christian in my group, and thought I would have a tough time, but within 
    weeks I found that there were 3 Christians in my department (IOSG) of which
    one was an I.T (also from Portsmouth University) and I was soon going along
    to Digital Christian Fellowship.
    
    For those that remember my first note in this conference (there weren't
    many, i'm generally a /READ_ONLY noter :-) ) about windows based bibles - 
    I haven't forgotton about writing it, I have chosen a different final year
    project (for academic reasons unfortunately), but I have been working on a
    converter from the KJV text to Windows Help format (hope to add links later)
    So if things go well, I should be able to create a hyper-linked KJV 
    [Andrew: because it's in windows help i'll be able to have integrated video
     clips :-) ]
    
    
    I would like to use this note to very briefly say thankyou to all those
    who have supported me during the last 15 months, both with encouragement
    and prayer, and say thankyou for the fellowship that I have received
    through all those months. I believe that you have all helped in
    strengthening me as a Christian.

Hi Steve - thanks for your fellowship over your time in IOSG!  It's been 
much appreciated (especially in our small Christian Fellowship!)

May the LORD bless you in all your endeavours; in your studies, fellowship, 
and with Julia ,'soon-to-be-Dimon' ;-)  I'll look forward to seeing you 
again - wherever it may be!
