I read a bit in a book last night about sitting at Jesus feet and it prompted me to take a look in the Bible at this subject. I discovered something really beautiful about Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus:- whenever she is mentioned she is at Jesus' feet. Luke 10:38-42 is the time when Martha moaned about Mary sitting at jesus feet whilst she was doing all the work. Jesus said Mary had chosen the better part. In John 11 Jesus goees to Lazarus' funeral - Martha comes out to meet Him first and then Mary rushes out and falls at His feet. In John 12 Jesus is sitting at the table and Mary pours precious ointment over His feet and dries them with her hair. The fragrance of her sacrifice fills the house they are in. Reading this I saw that Mary probably had a greater insight into who Jesus was than nearly everyone else in the gospels and it has shown me afresh that Jesus' feet is where I should be spending my time. This is true worship, this is true humilty - to have such a revelation of who Jesus is that we are constantly at His feet in our hearts. I pray that we shall all have that attitude in this conference so that a wonderful fragrance of worship will fill this place. Love Ben

I was not kidding when I saw a recent topic titled 'Mary'
and my first impulse was that it was on Mary the sister
of Martha. That was my first thought.
Of her Jesus exclaimed, "She has done a FANTASTIC thing.
WHEREVER this gospel is preached, what she has done must
be mentioned!" [paraphrase]

Hebrew word is "kipa." In Aramaic it's yamulke (sp? phonetically it's
yama-ka).
