618.0. "Outline of the Bible wanted" by SNELL::MOORE () Wed Oct 26 1994 13:22

Hi,

I have looked for an outline of the bible ( soft copy ) all over the internet
with no luck ... So I though that I would try here.

Does anyone have a softcopy of an outline of the OT and NT? I am taking an OT
class and it is time consuming to outline each book as I study it. I would
be much easier to update an existing outline rather than rewriting it.

Thanks,
Tim

Doesn't something like Cliff Notes offer a synopsis of the Bible? It
might be worth calling a couple of book stores to find out...

Of course it's time consuming. But you'll learn more that way.

I think I know some folks who (sadly) use that version...

I'm not sure that punishing the learner is the best way to
learn Gods word. I still read the word but the outlining would
    be reduced somewhat.

Somehow I have a hard time thinking of something like as punishment.
However, if you can accept a hardcopy outline, the NIV Study Bible
has one at the beginning of each book.

You beat me to it, Leslie. Any decent study Bible will have at least an
outline of each book. There are also Bible Handbooks, and "An Intro to
the Bible" guides that outline the whole thing.

I am aware of the outline at the beginning of each book of the bible,
but that information is a thumbnail sketch and not really of great
usefulness. I also was not interested in discussing the value of my
useing an outline for study or weather other outlines existed. Just
intersted in a softcopy of an outline of the OT. I guess not...

    Thanks,

Tim, I'm sorry but I don't know of any softcopies. If I had a scanner
    there would be ;-)
